Sermon Notes 9/10 – Ephesians – Now

Ephesians 3:20

                                               NOW
-NOW refers to the Present – Revelation 1:8 – WHO IS
-We need healing NOW…Salvation NOW, Joy NOW, Victory NOW…JESUS NOW
NOW TO HIM –  this refers to Jesus Christ
-there are no substitutes for Jesus
TO HIM – means turn to the Lord
-it is repentance
-turning to Jesus means turning away from something
Joel 2:12-14 – as we turn to the Lord, blessings come
-To Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think
-turning to the Lord produces A TIME OF REVERSAL
-We need a NOW FAITH – Ephesians 1:15-16
-a NOW faith in a NOW God produces NOW results
What is NOW FAITH?
***NOW FAITH IS FAITH THAT REFUSES TO BE REFUSED***
-We must refuse to be denied our healing and breakthrough
        a. Because we reject anything contrary to the promises of God
Philippians 1:19 and 1:25 – Paul knew he would be delivered from jail and would not die and fulfill his destiny and purpose
We have promises to stand on just like Paul had:
Ex 15:26 – we are promised healing
Acts 16:30-31 – we are promised that our family will be saved
Psalm 23:1 – we are promised provision
1 John 5:14-15 – we are promised that our prayers are being answered
Hebrews 13:5 – we are promised His continual presence
          b. Because it is unwavering faith
Philippians 1:19, 25 – the word know means to absolutely positively know
-to know is to have a dynamic certainty in the Lord and in His Word
-Do not waver – James 1:6-8
-The word waver speaks of having 2 opinions/to have a divided loyalty & mind
           c. Because it is persistent faith – Genesis 32:24-30 & Luke 11:5-13
-it means to insist and trouble the enemy/not give up
-weakness invites aggression, but strength pushes the enemy back and troubles him
-promise – Galatians 6:9
