Sermon Notes 7/25 – Pentecost

Jesus was crucified on Passover. He ascended into the 3rd heaven 40 days after His resurrection. On Pentecost 50 days after the resurrection the Holy Spirit descended

The Day of Pentecost is 1 of 7 prophetic holidays found in Leviticus 23

Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, Pentecost, Trumpets, The Day of Atonement, and Tabernacles

Acts 2:1 When the Day of Pentecost had FULLY COME = come to pass, fulfilled, speaks the Lord’s PROMISE being fulfilled in His perfect TIMING

Thousands of people were flooding in the Jerusalem for a divine appointment

The upper Room

They were all with ONE ACCORD of the same heart mind and purpose they were in agreement unified and one together

They were in the same upper room where the last supper took place and post resurrection appearances of Jesus happened

Prayer can open heaven, prayer can change your life

A sound FROM HEAVEN like a mighty rushing wind and it filled the house

Fire represents the Lord’s Presence

They all (120) including Mary the Mother of Jesus) started speaking in tongues

This was a cross cultural outreach as each heard the gospel in their own native language
