Sermon Notes 4/30 – Ephesians 1-10

vs1-10 – Paul teaches about our condition to our position
vs1-3 speak of our condition before salvation
Dead – the sin nature ruled
Disobedient – belonged to the kingdom of darkness
Depraved – the flesh dominated us
Doomed – under the wrath of God
verse 4 – BUT GOD – speaks of Divine Intervention
1 Corinthians 10:13  – the Divine Intervention of God’s Faithfulness
v13 – No Temptation – Every believer will be tempted
temptation – means to solicit a person to do evil
Being tempted is not sin.  Giving into temptation is…
No Temptation is stronger than the Lord’s strength and power in us
1 John 4:4 – “Greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world”
Choose to say no to all temptations……….
Common to Man – v13 – the temptations we all face are common to all humanity
Hebrews 4:15 – Jesus was tempted in every way we are, but He never sinned
BUT GOD IS FAITHFUL……..
faithful – means loyal…constant…free from error…always right…responsible…reliable
The faithfulness of God never changes……..
        ***Our situations, pressure and hard times do not change the faithfulness of God
***The Lord doesn’t fix every situation quickly because He uses those situations to fix us………
—The Lord Gives Us A Promise..
The Lord will never allow or permit us to be tempted beyond what we are able to handle
             We will be able to bear it – means to endure/persist/keep moving forward
             We will be able to escape the temptation – temptations will not last forever
