Sermon Notes 3/20 – The Lake – Mark 6

                                           Mark 6:45-56

                                      Open Our Eyes Lord

The Lake – (v48) represents the trials and difficulties of life that blow against us

(1.) OPEN OUR EYES LORD TO LEARN TO SEE WHAT WE CANNOT SEE – 2 Corinthians 5:7

-during a storm, we can still see Jesus by faith

-He is the Invisible God – we can still see Jesus by faith – 1 Timothy 1:17

-The HOWS we face during a trial

        ***Focusing on Jesus changes 2 Things:

                   1. The Storm within us calms down – Mark 4:35-41

                   2. The Storm around us calms down – Mark 6:47-53

***The winds that are blowing against us make us uncomfortable

DANGER: We connect comfort to God’s Character

***The Lord never changes – the Lord is IMMUTABLE – Js 1:17/Mal 3:6/Heb 13:8

-we must base what we believe on what the Word of God says

——-He is an ALWAYS God……

                          a. THE LORD ALWAYS REMEMBERS

             ***Jesus Never forgets…….

                         b. THE LORD ALWAYS SEES – Genesis 16:13

             ***Jesus sees what we don’t see
