Sermon Notes 12/29 – Resolve

“Resolve”
The scripture reference is Daniel 3:16-18

In the face of extreme PRESSURE ADVERSITY Shadrach Meshach and Abed-nego were RESOLVED not to worship a false god

3:7 So at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the horn flute harp and lyre in symphony with all kinds of music (when the band started to play) ALL THE PEOPLE NATIONS AND LANGUAGES fell down and worshiped the gold image which King Nebuchadnezzar set up

3:16-18 O Nebuchadnezzar we have no need to answer you in this matter

A Statement resolved faith. If we obey God He will deliver us. And if He does not we will go to Heaven

Matthew 7:13 Enter by the narrow gate for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it

Be resolved to go down that narrow road

Don’t give up in the face of Spiritual adversity

Close the door to the enemy in your life through righteous living

Don’t give up in the face of financial adversity

Having less materially produces more spiritually

Be resolved to face fear head on
2nd Timothy 1:7-8 For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and a sound mind

3:25 I see four men loose walking in the midst of the fire and they are not hurt and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God
