Keep Knocking

The Word for all my moms in the house, and church this morning is KEEP KNOCKING

Luke‬ ‭11‬:‭5‬-‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬

Luke 9-10

These words ask, seek and knock are continual.

This is how we have this translation: ‘ keep on asking and it will be given to you, keep on seeking and you will find, keep on reverently knocking it will be opened to you.’

Three keys to prayer this morning

1. Ask

When you ask God answers

‭‭Mark‬ ‭11‬:‭‬24‬ ‭

How does He answer? With His Word …He gives you bread.. His promises

There are 8,810 promises (7,487 of them being promises made by God to humankind).

God will take care of our needs

Philippians 4:19

Jesus gives us strength

Isaiah 40:3

He gives us peace

Philippians 4:6-7

For our children

Isaiah 44:3

Proverbs 22:6

His promises are what we stand on

They are what carry you through

He is faithful to fulfill His promises

Pray God’s promises for your friends

Persistence

We need to hear God’s promises over and over again. It is a way God uses to encourage and develop our faith: So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17).

2. Seek

When you seek with persistence you get to know HimWe always need time with Jesus

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27‬:‭4‬ ‭

How do you dwell?

worship, prayer, reading His Word

Come to Him with Thanksgiving

He wants you to know Him

As you’re seeking HIM YOU FIND HIM

He is a God who restores, renews, reconciles, redeems, & resurrects

He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him

Effective prayer is a matter of drawing near to God so we can pray with His heart.

3. Knock

When you knock with expectancy miracles happen

Believe in what your praying

Lift up your hand of faith, stand on His promises and knock on the doors of heaven

Knocking is persistence

Keep knocking, don’t give up!
