Don’t Be A Blessing Chaser

Exodus 33:9-11

Vs #”the Lord talked with Moses”

Vs # the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend.
Moses was a friend of God, We are Friends with God, He speaks to His Friends
John 15:14-15
If we follow Him, we will be His friend and He will reveal things to us.

Exodus 33:12-18
Vs #13 Moses is saying Show me the way because I am LOST without you
God Answered Moses

Moses is saying, “we will NOT move without your presence”
God Answered Moses Again

Vs#18 “Show me Your Glory”

Moses was desperate for:
Gods Direction (we need to be desperate for Gods Direction)
Gods Presence  (We need to be desperate for the presence of God in our Lives)
Numbers 14:11
How long will this people despise me? And how long will they not believe in me, in spite of all the signs (Blessings) that I have done among them?’”
After all the miracles, the Israelites asked  “Is the Lord among us or not?”
We can celebrate blessings because they will come
I do not want to live my life chasing blessings!!!!
Jesus does not need a hype man!!!
The Israelites were Empty, longing for the next miracle, longing for the promise of God but not willing to recognize what their leader Moses Recognized
  • Moses did not wan to move without the direction of God
  • Moses did not want to live one day without the Glory of God
  • We need to be saying every day, Jesus “Show me your Glory”
Examine yourself :What do you consider blessing?
A blessing may be in the form of not getting your way.
A blessing can be your “promise land” we must not stop along the way and complain or settle for false Idols

Moses: His heart condition was right, even though he was not qualified

“Moses eyes were not on the Promise Land but the Promisor “
We all have been given Promises, we must never loose desire for the presence
With His presence, the promises will come
