a. Exodus 20:12 Honor your father and mother that you days may be prolonged in the land which the Lord your God gives you

b. The principle of giving honor and of forgiveness are very similar

c. Parents pass along both good and bad

d. No matter what happened to you either good or bad at some point your life became your responsibility

e. Do not live with a victim mentality
