Mountains

What mountains represent in the scriptures…….

(1) Mountains Represent Intimacy – Matthew 14:22-23
– Being in a mountain takes you away from the distractions of life

– This is spending time with Jesus

– It is an intentional time

– Exodus 3:1-10 – Moses as an example

– The result of intimacy is the building of christian character – Matt 17:1-14
* Transfigured – means your inside coming to the outside
(2) Mountains speak of Creation – Col 1:16 & Amos 4:13
– Jesus created everything

Romans 1:18-25 – through creation humanity knows there is a Savior
(3) Mountains are a symbol of the return of Jesus – Matthew 24:1-8 & Zech 14:1a, 3-5
– The Lord is coming back to the Mount of Olives
Zechariah 4:7

v7 – Your mountains are going to be removed tonight…….

v7a – Oh great mountain – speaks of a great obstacle & amp; problem — a great one……a huge one…….an immense one

One definition of Mountain – A large pile or quantity of something…

How to Remove mountains….

(1) MAKE RIGHT CHOICES – TO AVOID CREATING MOUNTAINS

– We create many of our own mountains

– Make right choices – follow the Word of God
(2) MOUNTAINS MUST BE CLIMBED

– Climbing Mountains are hard/great preparation and training is required

– To get on top of a mountain, you have to climb it

(3) REACH OUT FOR HELP – Proverbs 11:14

– Crucify the flesh and ego and go get some wisdom and help

– Ask the old to bring people to you who will shoot straight and then we must listen….
(4) UNDERSTAND THE LORD CAN DO ANYTHING – Zech 4:7
– By the grace of GOD, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE

– WITH GOD ANYTHING CAN BE DONE
(5) SPEAK TO YOUR MOUNTAIN – Mark 11:22-24

– Talk and speak to your mountain by faith

– It will be removed by the lord
