What To Do When It Storms 6

STORMS CREATE DIFFICULT TIMES
                                            2 TIMOTHY 3:1
***Real storms form difficult situations and circumstances
***The virus storm has formed many difficult situations
***2 Timothy 3:1
Know – means to absolutely positively know
Last Days – the days which preceed the return of Jesus Christ
*We are just at the beginning of difficult times – Matthew 24:1-8
*Difficult times will be more frequent
*Use this time as a time to witness
Perilous – means very difficult times…terrible times
——-A difficult time is a time when you hit the wall…….Joshua 6:1-5
***Things were going well for Israel
-delivered from Egypt (the world)…from Pharoah (satan)…Bondage (sin)
-everything changed in a moment of time – they hit a WALL – The Walls of Jericho
-we have hit a wall today with this carona virus.  What are we going to do?
(1.) YOU MUST SEE BEYOND THE WALL TO THE PROMISES OF GOD – Joshua 6:2
-get your mind off of the virus and wall and on to the promise of God
-the promise of God was that the walls of Jericho would come down
-stand on the Word and have faith in the Lord
(2.) WE DO NOT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT HOW THE LORD IS GOING TO DO IT.  WE JUST KNOW HE WILL DO IT – Joshua 6:20-21
-Mary the mother of Jesus was told she was going to have a baby and told the Lord she knew it would happen
-You don’t need to know the HOW when you know the WHO
***The WHO is Jesus Christ
The Who can do things any way He wants and at any time.  We surrender to the Lord…
-The Lord had Israel walk around for 7 days, blow a trumpet ans shout…
-Now – the Lord is answering and will come through for us.  We can know He is going to do it……..
(3.) THE LORD BRINGS US TO A PLACE WHERE WE CAN ONLY RELY UPON HIM – Joshua 6:1
-we serve a supernatural God and the supernatural aspect of Christianity needs to return to the church
-the supernatural power and presence of the Lord tore down the walls of Jericho and will tear down the walls today concerning the carona virus
(4.) KEEP GRINDING IT OUT – Joshua 6:6-12
-we must keep practicing the spiritual disciplines we have always practiced
-keep walking and praising and reading the Word during a difficult time
-Grinding it out is spending time with Jesus every day…Building a strong foundation and it is a discipline and not an emotion or feeling
