What To Do When It Storms 2

(1) SPEAK UP AND NEVER HOLD YOUR PEACE – Acts 18:9-10

v9 – Night – speaks of a hard, difficult time of adversity….

Paul declares his storms, but he also declares the Word of God…2 Cor 11:23-28

Storms tend to take the wind out of our sails…..

We need to speak the Word and keep speaking the Word of God

***We keep on speaking because the flesh and the enemy keep on speaking

-the enemy is loud…Speak louder

***We keep on speaking because storms keep on coming

***We keep on speaking because what we see is not very good

     When we keep speaking things happen…..Luke 18:35-41

v39 – the religious crowd wants you to be quiet

v40 – when we keep on speaking, you stop the Lord in His tracks…

(2.) STAY ON STRAIGHT STREET – Acts 9:1-11

-when things get hard for you, do not get off of Straight Street

-keep practicing spiritual principles

-temptation – you will be tempted to stop, slow down & backslide…Say no to temptation…..

               BE RELENTLESS

relentless – means to be determined/persistent/steady/unyielding/sustain

*Philippians 3:13-14

***Be relentless because we need to finish the course – 2 Tim 4:7-8/Acts 20:24/Hebrews 12:1-2

-We need to acquire a relentless spirit…

(3.) LISTEN TO THE VOICE OF THE LORD – Rev 2:11,17,29 & 3:6,13, 22

*The voice of the Lord never grows dim in a storm…

*We need to hear the voice of the Lord:

a. to hear general information

b. to hear why we are in the storm

c. concerning what to do in the storm
