Understanding the Times – 1 Chronicles 12:32

-a storm is approaching our world and our nation

-we need a storm team to push back the storm and pray us through it – 2 Tim 3:1

-this is a group of prayer warriors and intercessors

Why Pray?  Christianity is a supernatural faith with a supernatural enemy that can only be defeated with supernatural weapons

-everyone is an intercessor——–everyone can pray

Ezekiel 22:30-31

2 Chronicles 7:14-15

intercession definition – to stand in for another/pleading for another/to encounter

who do we intercede for?  1 Timothy 2:1-4

-understand the times and take action – 1 Chr 12:32

-there are many different ways to pray – one is crying out

Ps 34:6/57:2….Exodus 2:23 & 14:10…Luke 19:37-42 …Psalm 102:1-2

cry out – means to call out loud…call on the Lord boldly…to shriek…to roar like a lion

(1) Crying out to the lord is a way to give more to God – Psalm 28:1-2

-we can give more to the Lord – more love, finances, and more prayer

-vocal energy and the gift of voice

-there are seasons to cry out – the Lord hears all kinds of prayers

(2) Crying out to the Lord is an outflow of our relationship with Him – John 15:7

abide – means to remain and stay in the lord

-we grow as we abide and our prayer life grows as we abide

-patience must accompany crying out to the Lord – James 5:7-8,16

v16 is a prayer that is alive and fervent
