                                 Exodus 12:1-11, 21-23
vs21-23 – Israel took a lamb – represents Jesus Christ
-Jesus is called the Lamb of God in John 1:29-36
They killed the lamb – v6
They placed blood on the door – vs21-23
***This all points to the cross & crucifixion
***PREACH THE CROSS***
1 Corinthians 1:18
           ***PREACH THE CROSS BECAUSE IT EMPHASIZES JESUS
-preaching is all about Jesus
-1 Corinthians 2:4
*******Preaching the Cross includes the Lamb’s Head, Legs and Inward Parts – v9
         THE HEAD OF THE LAMB
-this represents the mind of Christ
-keep our minds aligned with the Word of God during difficult times
         THE LEGS OF THE LAMB
-this represents our Christian walk
-continue to follow Jesus even when it gets hard
         THE INWARD PARTS OF THE LAMB
-this represents the heart of the lamb
-have the heart of the Father in bitter times
            *focus on others
            *focus on witnessing
*******Preach the Cross & the Lamb being roasted with fire – vs8-9
-this represents the judgment and wrath of God coming down upon Jesus on the cross
-We should have been on the cross
-as believers we are not under the wrath of God, but under the blood – v23
*******Preach the Cross Without Water – v9
-the Lamb is not to be placed in water of any kind
-we are not to water down the gospel – no selective preaching
-do not be politically correct – use every word in the Bible
-The Bible is all absolutely truth
*******Preach the Cross and Include Bitter Herbs – v8
On that night – this represents the dark times in our lives – adversity, hardship and the bitter times in life
     THE RESULT OF PREACHING THE CROSS
vs21-23 – Hyssop
Hyssop represents HUMILITY…
-you have to bow to dip the hyssop in the basin
-you have to believe that Jesus is the only way to heaven
-you have to believe that only the blood of Jesus can save people
-Preach the gospel so that people will repent and be saved……….
