Two Points About A Jewish Wedding
     1. THE PARENTS PUT THE COUPLE TOGETHER
-Our spiritual parent needs to put two people together to be married

3 POINTS TO LEARN ABOUT MARY & JESUS
1. We cannot direct the Lord.  He directs us.
-woman was not a disrespectful term @ all
-Jesus only allowed the Father to direct Him
-Mary had no authority overJesus.  It was not His time to die and until then, the Father would only direct Him
2. Mary was not to be the focus.  Jesus is to always be the focal point
3. Verse 5 – Mary responds and falls into line
“WHATEVER HE SAYS TO YOU DO IT.”:
DO IT – means to practice the Word
James 1:22-25 & Matthew 7:24-27
                                     WATERPOTS
v6 – 6 waterpots
-6 is the # of man
-7 is the # of God
Humanity is always under God and must bow to Him…….
1. THE WATERPOTS WERE AVAILABLE
-they were not beautiful, just available
*** AVAILABILITY IS THE PRINCIPLE OF PRESENCE
-this is showing up and just being there consistently
2. THE WATERPOTS WERE EMPTY – vs5-7
Humanity is empty and without hope
3. THE WATERPOTS SIGNALED THE RITUALS OF JUDAISM AND RELIGION WERE OVER – vs6-7
The water in the pots were used for hygiene & purification in the Jewish religion and rituals.  It symbolized Judaism…
***It shows religion is empty
***the rituals are empty
***the law is empty and over
——-It was time for something new and fresh – the gospel of Jesus Christ
-new wine and the best wine……
4. THE WATERPOTS WERE MADE OUT OF STONE – v6
-stone had a higher value than pottery and the pots were no made out of pottery
-the water would not become contaminated or impure if poured into stone pots
-This represents believers being living stones who are undefiled in Jesus Christ
3. AVAILABILITY IS WILLING TO DO ANYTHING
