Sermon Notes 9/21 – Things we can learn from the death of Charlie Kirk

**We can never agree with murder or hatred

***The Lord has created a spiritual movement from what has happened

***The Enemy always attacks the person or ministry who threatens him***

(1.) WE MUST RECOGNIZE WHO OUR ENEMY IS – Ephesians 6:10-18

a.) We are at war with demons

-They are invisible, but we can see their activity

-The attacks of the enemy will intensify

-The enemy started out as a serpent in Genesis…then as a lion in 1 Peter …and now as a dragon in Revelation

b.) Our enemy is not people – it is the devil & demonic forces – John 8:44

-a trick of the enemy is to try to convince us that he does not exist

-he can use people to get his job done

c.) Demons make alot of noise – Luke 9:38-43a

-the more noise they make means something good is about to happen

(2.) A RESURRECTION FOLLOWS DEATH – John 11:43-45 & Matt 11:12

resurrection means to raise up…a revival of something…to come alive

-whenever any believer dies, they are raised up by the Lord to be with Jesus

-no one knows when they will die and how they will die.  We just all will die so today is the day to be saved

-death is used by the Lord to raise up others to build the Kingdom of God – Matthew 11:12

face violence – the kingdom of God will be attacked, but at the same time it is forcefully advancing with power and energy by the army of God…Its time to be involved and join the army.  HOW?

         1. Ask –  pray – prayer starts and stops prayer moves God and stops Him in His tracks when He hears His people crying out to Him…….

         2. Announcements – study the Word – become a strong disciple

         3. Anointing – power – Acts 1:8 – for strength and courage
