What is spiritual rain ?

-the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and His blessings and grace

-the emphasis in Christianity should always be on Jesus

-do not forget the Lord – Deut 8

-the Lord produces the rain so His kids can live an abundant life

Revelation 1:1 – means to take the lid off/ to show us something new

          a. when it rains physically, rain gathers in the curb and flows into the sewer and removes dirt and some trash.  Sin in our lives  is washed away by spiritual rain

           b. spiritual rain washed away a spirit of delusion

delusion – is holding on to false beliefs when truth  says something very different

-the Lord is not a respecter of person – means to receive ones face

-ways to receive spiritual rain

    1. SLOW DOWN – Psalm 46:10

-rain causes us to slow down because there is less activity when it rains

-abiding takes time – to develop a relationship with Jesus

-we must meditate on the Lord and His Word and how great He is

      2 Things to Note:

1. we must carve out some time for stillness

2. We must know the Lord is always pleased with us

***Slowing down causes us to spend more time with Jesus and hear the Lords voice.

      A Bible Principle:  When you do not hear the voice of the Lord, you are hearing the voice of the Lord

     2. Develop our Faith – 2 Kings 3:1-20

What we can learn:

  ***The Lord promised He would send them some rain – v17

-the Lord can do anything – v18

-The Lord brings the rain in His time – v18

   ***The Lord is going to do something, but He also asks us to do something

-suddenlies can happen

   ***Walk by faith and not by sight – v20 and 2 Cor 5:7
