                                   Feeding the 4,000

-the people had to be fed NOW

-some thing shave to happen NOW

1. The God we serve is a NOW God

2. We need NOW disciples

3. We are seeing a NOW move of God

***To see a NOW move of God and be used in a NOW move of God:

1. We must have a NOW mentality that God can do anything NOW

2. We need to pursue Jesus – To Him

To Him – means to turn to Him…This speaks of 3 things:

1. FOCUS

2. REPENTANCE

3. HUNGER

3. SPIRITUAL HUNGER – Matthew 5:6

-we must have spiritual hunger for Jesus Christ and spiritual things

Definition of Hunger – means to be starved…a craving…famished

           4 POINTS ABOUT SPIRITUAL HUNGER

(1) SPIRITUAL HUNGER IS A DIVINE YEARNING FOR WHAT IS MISSING IN LIFE

-the 4,000 people found what was missing in their lives

-there is a spiritual empty spot in our lives that only Jesus will fill

(2) SPIRITUAL HUNGER IS A DIVINE OR SPIRITUAL STARVATION – Ps 42:1-2

-For Jesus

-For More

     a. there is always more no matter how long you have been a Christian

     b. no matter how close you are to the Lord, there is more

     c. there is more if you are willing to pay the price

(3) SPIRITUAL HUNGER IS BEING WHERE THE HURTING ARE

-you see the issues when out in the community.  It moves you for more prayer

(4) STAY HUNGRY

-no settling…coasting…no being in neutral

          How can we stay hungry?

     1. THROUGH DEVELOPING GOD HABITS

-discipline

     2. DEVELOP LIFE PRIORITIES

-we must develop priorities in our lives

-Stay hungry for Jesus Christ…….

     Why turn to Jesus?

-He Is Able

***this speaks of Jesus being all powerful

***His power can smash all of our issues

-this is explosive power and dynamite energy and ability that will blow up your situation

-He is Able – Jeremiah 32:17 & Mark 9:23

-This has never changed – God is Able – IT’S A FAC

                           -NEVER QUESTION GODS ABILITY-

EXCEEDINGLY ABUNDANTLY ABOVE – the word hyper is used twice in these 3 words

-when hyper is added to a word it makes the original word bigger, grander, faster and stronger

-it is multiplied abundance…way beyond beyond…

According to the power that works within us

-we have the same power in us that raised Jesus from the dead

-it is doing a work in us and also through us

-it is the power of the Holy Spirit through the baptism of the Holy Spirit – Acts 1:8

v8 – you will receive power – a 100% guarantee

power – means miraculous ability and action

             means greater ability

-when the Holy Spirit comes upon you – this is the baptism of the Holy Spirit

***at redemption you receive the Holy Spirit – 1 Cor 3:16-17

the baptism of the Holy Spirit is MORE

-the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a person’s spirit man being immersed by the Holy Spirit and receive many evidences

*more dedication

*speaking in tongues

*witnesses

*greater ability to pray and praise
