Prayer opens things

Colossians 4:2-3

when we pray heaven opens up and something comes through

Mark 2:1-10 – 4 men digging through the roof of the house represents prayer

Some points:

a. 4 men represent prayer gatherings

b. prayer is work

c. Breakthroughs come as we pray – the Lord moves when we pray

Matthew 3:13-17 The Holy Spirit comes through an open heaven when we pray

***The first place the Holy Spirit found in the scriptures is Genesis 1:1

Genesis 1:1 – Elohim is the name for God in this verse – it is plural

       ***this refers to the trinity

       ***This refers to the Holy Spirit being God

1. When we pray the Holy Spirit comes through and creates – Genesis 1:1-4

-only the trinity can create – human beings cannot create

The Holy Spirit created the universe – Genesis 1:1-2

——-He created the earth and it became a mess

without form and void – means chaotic/ruined/empty/isolated/a waste land

-The Holy Spirit will never abandon us during a mess

Hovering – means the Holy Spirit is present

               – means the Holy Spirit is continually moving

-The Holy Spirit is unexplainable – He can do anything and being unexplainable means the Lord will give us a breakthrough.  We just don’t know how the breakthrough will happen, but it will happen…

2. When we pray heaven opens up and the Holy Spirit comes through and separates – Genesis 1:1-4

-The Holy Spirit separated light from darkness and separates things today

(1.) The Holy Spirit Separates Through The Word of God – 2 Peter 1:20-21

-two words are important to say for every believer – YES SIR…….

(2.) The Holy Spirit Separates Through Other people – 2 Timothy 4:2
