Sermon Notes 7/9 – Know The Holy Spirit

KNOW THE HOLY SPIRIT

Point #1 — He Makes Us Holy

John 16:8–11

He Convicts the World

  • Sin

  • Righteousness

  • Judgment

This conviction comes when the Gospel is shared or preached. The Holy Spirit witnesses to the truth of Jesus being the Son of God, dying on the cross, being buried, and being raised again. He witnesses the resurrection power because He is the One who raised Jesus from the dead.

Acts 2:37

Hearts were cut to the heart.

Ephesians 4:30

  • Pushes you away from God

  • “You are a failure.”

Conviction says:

  • “This is wrong.”

  • “Come back to Me.”

  • “Repent and be restored.”
