COUNT IT ALL JOY

                                             James 1:1-8
a. We are all going to face many kinds of trials
***We must acquire a Biblical mindset
The Bible says hard times will come to every believer – 2 Thess 1:4-7
b. We will fall into various trials like Jehosophat in 2 Chronicles 20:17
-position yourself to receive your breakthrough
(1.)  TO WALK THROUGH THE HARD TIMES AND TRIALS OF LIFE, WE NEED TO PLACE OURSELVES IN A POSITION OF PRAYER – 2 CHR 20:3-4, 9
V9 – Jehosophat was surrounded by different trials and troubles
-He ran toward the Lord in prayer and cried out to the Lord
-Crying out prayer is lifting our voices out to the Lord – Ps 61:1-2 & 102:1-2
-we cry out to the Lord because when we pray God moves and He is coming back soon
a.) We cry out to the Lord to show us things we do not know – 2 Chronicles 20:12 & Jeremiah 33:1-3

Jeremiah 33:1-3

verse 1 – the Word of the Lord came twice to Jeremiah – reveals importance
verse 2 – the Lord created everything (show a picture of the Lord’s creation and place over it or under the picture that the Lord creates everything)
verse 3 – Mighty Things – are things beyond the reach of human knowledge
-call – means to cry out…shriek…make a noise…
-the Lord reveals some intel information to Israel
2.) WHEN WE CRY OUT TO THE LORD IN PRAYER, THERE ARE GAINS AND LOSSES – 2 Chronicles 20:7-9
-prayer produces gains and losses
3.) CRYING OUT TO THE LORD IS ASKING – James 1:5-8
-prayer includes asking – James 4:2…Matt 7:7-8…John 14:13…1 Jn 5:14-15 …James 1:5
v5 – Ask The Lord – to find out why we are in the trial & what we can learn
             ***asking here is continual
***pray and don;t waste the opportunity
v5 – Gives to all – the wisdom from the Lord is not limited to a favored few
***The Lord gives liberally – generously – abundantly
***Without Reproach – the Lord does not rebuke us for continually asking
vs6-8 – what to ask for and how to ask
v6 – believers believe and then they do not believe
vs7-8 – double minded means to be double souled – this is having 2 minds on a subject
Unstable – means to be unsettled/rocking back and forth
***Items that could be expanded upon on the LED wall
-being surrounded by uncertainly, worry, trouble, trials and hardships
-showing a group of people praying
-using the words — PLACE YOURSELF IN A POSITION OF PRAYER
-ASK THE LORD – underneath this it could say:
-when we ask the Lord answers
-when we ask the Lord heals
-when we ask the Lord saves
-when we ask the Lord gives us wisdom, strength, comfort and help
(this is making a list about what we receive when we ask in prayer)
Ask God – the one, true and living God
James 1:5 – the Lord gives to all
List some words on one slide:
*The Lord gives liberally
*The Lord gives generously, abundantly, freely and without holding back
vs6-8 – You could say concerning doubt
Do Not Allow The Seed Of Doubt To Enter Into Your Heart
