2 ways to walk in the Power of God

1 Sam 17 V 4-11/38-51

David a foreshadow of Jesus

Jesus came to set the captives free, He is the Shepard and king

Goliath represents sin and death Jesus the rock of salvation overcame sin and
death on the cross when He gave his life ransom for you and me

David anointed by God to be King
1 Sam 16:13

God has called and anointed you to take back His people for the kingdom of God

1 SAMUEL 17:4-11

Goliath was a tormentor. He was big. He was: Intimidating, causing fear, discouragement, and confusion
Giants can represent trials in our lives its demonic forces that try to bring fear torment and confusion

Giants can look different for everyone
finances -marriage -offense

Just like Goliath, the enemy is a skilled warrior. He prowls like a lion,
never sleeping, waiting for a moment to devour
But the Lord is the one who fights our battles all you need is
Faith that moves mountains and the power of God that slays giants

1. We Must Pray

DAVID WAS KNOWN TO BE A MAN OF PRAYER
Prayerless Christians are powerless Christians.

You can not fight a 24-hour devil on a 1-time prayer

The power of voice

Your voice is a weapon be louder than the giants in your life

The enemy can’t hear your thoughts he has no power but when you start
speaking out defeat he knows your weakness but in the name of Jesus
those demons must go speak Jesus over those giants

2. Be full of the Holy Spirit

v 38-43
v 31-43

-The staff in his hand represents God’s power, authority, and protection
-the sling of God’s Favor
-5 smooth stones
5 because Goliath had brothers the enemy has demons

The 5 Stones represent:
1Faith 2trust 3courage 4obedience 5Praise
David’s rocks can represent:
Salvation, Prayer, Holy Spirit, The Word, Evangelism

Walk in the Power of the Holy Spirit
God is calling us to be the Acts Church of today Full of the Holy Spirit

So Be a voice in your schools / work place
