Sermon Notes 6/13 – Mark 5:25-34

Mark 5:1 – Jesus goes to Gentile territory

Mark 5:25 – Jesus goes to Jewish territory

Hemorrhage – is a loss of blood from damaged blood vessels that causes bleeding

(1.) THE LORD CAN HEAL ANY ISSUE – Mark 5:25-27

suffered – means to suffer great pain and agony

healed – means to be healthy and sound and continually healed – this is a forever cure

And only Jesus can heal —He uses different methods to bring healing – verse 30

(2.) FAITH IN THE LORD PRODUCES HEALING FOR ANY ISSUE

What brought healing to this woman – faith in the Lord – verse 34

OUR FAITH IS IN THE LORD – Verse 27

a. We have faith – Romans 12:1-3

b. Faith can grow – Romans 10:17

***Jesus can help us physically and spiritually

PHYSICALLY

Jesus made her well – v34 – means to be whole in every way

SPIRITUALLY

v34 – she goes from being a certain woman to being a daughter – v34 – unsaved to saved

And go to the Lord first – Matt 6:33 – this woman came to the Lord as a last resort

                   a. Faith is knowing Jesus can do it – verse 27

Enemies of Faith

1. Doubt – James 1:1-5 – doubt means to question

—faith is a dynamic certainty about the Lord and His Word

2. Timing – verse 25

-she waited for 12 years to be healed

-waiting and doubt produce anger

(3.) THE WOMANS TALK BROUGHT HEALING TO HER – v28

for she said – means “SHE KEPT SAYING”

-I will be made well…I will be made well…I will be made well…

-no matter what – I will be made well
