REVELATION Chapter 6
VERSE 1 – THE LAMB
– This refers to Jesus and means a gentle, tender, soft pet Lamb
-The Lord does not desire to bring judgment to earth
-4 living beings – these angelic creations of the Lord
Come and See – this is a command from the angelic beings from the Lord
The First Seal Judgment – The White Horse – Revelation 6:1-2
VERSE 2 – THE WHITE HORSE
– This is the antichrist – an evil and wicked man, and a counterfeit – a counterfeit peace
-The antichrist comes to power through peace
-a bow but no arrow – represents peace
-crown – the antichrist will rule over a group of nations
To overcome the counterfeit, know the real Jesus and the Word
VERSES 3-4 – THE 2ND SEAL – THE RED HORSE
-The red horse symbolizes bloodshed and war
-Luke 21:7-10
VERSES 5-6 – THE 3RD SEAL – THE BLACK HORSE
-Famine and Financial Issues
-speaks of inflation – one day’s pay will be enough to feed one person in the family, and no other expenses
-Believers have a promise – Psalm 33:18-18 & Psalm 23
VERSES 7-8 – THE 4TH SEAL – A PALE HORSE – DEATH
-A lot of death happens from wars, wild animals & hunger & starvation
-Hell follows right behind death and swallows those who are not saved
-Remember, people are still being saved because the Lord Spirit is moving
Verses 9-11 – THE 5TH SEAL – THE MARTYRS
-These are believers who die for their faith during the tribulation
-Testimony – is a declaration of fact and truth
-Under the altar – Represents the sacrifice of the lives of people – it means to give up something for something with greater value
Verses 10 – 11 – They must wait for the return of the Lord & His judgment to end
Verses 12-13 – THE 6TH SEAL – COSMIC DISTURBANCES
-Luke 21:25-27
-Darkness covers the earth, and then the Light & glory of the Lord comes through
Verse 14 – The topography and atmosphere of the world completely change
Verses 15-16 – 7 classes of people are mentioned who are affected by God’s judgment
They try to hide from the Lord, but will still not repent
Verse 17 – wrath – means indignation/righteous anger
-God’s wrath is based on people’s own decisions
