2nd Service

Title: 3 keys to a covenant Relationship

Ruth 1:8-18

A covenant relationship is an unbreakable relationship built on trust and built up in the Lord.

Title to this message is: 3 keys to a covenant relationship.

Ruth 1:16-18

They BOTH responded to each other in humility.

First key to a covenant relationship: True Humility

Humility says

“I trust you. I support you. I’ll love you even when I don’t agree.”

Humility is holding your tongue even when your opinion is super strong.

Ruth 2: 6-12

Ruth didn’t choose easy- she chose HONOR.

2nd key to a covenant relationship: Honor

Virtuous means- honest, ethical, nice and HONORABLE.

Honor is not proving our position.

Ruth 3:1-5

3rd key to a covenant relationship: Devotion to Jesus.

Ruth 4: 14-15

Prayer is what turns pain into purpose.

Don’t try to fix everything with advice. Take it to prayer

The same God who redeemed Ruth’s story wants to redeem yours.

3rd Service

A MOTHER’S DAY MIRACLE

POINT #1: TO MAKE ROOM FOR A MOTHER’S DAY MIRACLE WE:  SEEK

SEEK GOD FIRST

v1: Even in the best of times and circumstances tragedy can strike but we must seek Him first for help. He hears us and answers. Psalm 120:1 reads: I call on the LORD in my distress, and he answers me.

 – Do not turn from God in life’s hardships-She does not turn from God even though she must have been devastated and confused. The enemy will tempt us to be bitter but we will get better by seeking God.

POINT #2: TO MAKE ROOM FOR A MOTHER’S DAY MIRACLE WE:   SURRENDER

SURRENDER EVEN YOUR LAST

v2 -Eisha asks her what she has- and she has a bit of  oil the Hebrew says rubbing oil a medicinal use for anointing-

-God will use what little you have. You don’t have to be great, smart, wealthy, beautiful just to surrender to Him. God equips ordinary people to do extraordinary things

-the small amount of anointing oil was all she had- SHE COULD HAVE HELD ONTO IT IN FEAR; God can work with what you have. She SURRENDERED  IT in faith.

POINT #3: TO MAKE ROOM FOR A MOTHER’S DAY MIRACLE

WE:  STRETCH

        STRETCH YOUR FAITH

v3: she showed her faith by collecting a lot of vessels NOT A FEW.

v4: she obeyed the smallest details. Shut the door. Clear the Table, arrange the vessels. We must clear our minds of doubt, our lives of the clutter and make room for God to move.

v5: she began pouring even though there were just a few drops to begin with

v6- all you have to do is obey even if the instructions sound crazy

v7 Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debt; and you and your sons live on the rest.
