Sermon Notes 4/9 – The Road To Emmaus

                                      Luke 24:13-19, 28-36

***These scriptures take place after the resurrection of Jesus Christ

***The Resurrected Christ LIVES – Luke 24:1-7

-The Bible declares that Jesus is alive

-The testimonies of people say Jesus is alive

-You cannot find the body of Jesus because He is alive

Because Jesus is alive, we have hope beyond this life – John 11:25-26

Who is Jesus?  Matthew 16:13-17 – You are the Christ, the Son of the LIving God

The Resurrected Christ STAYS – Luke 24:17

***Jesus will never leave us or forsake us – Hebrews 13:5

***THERE IS NO PLACE WHERE GOD IS NOT***

John 14:16 – another – means another of the same kind – this is the Holy Spirit

      *The Holy Spirit STAYS with us and is called The HELPER

The Resurrected Christ is here to STAY with us and HELP us…….

-Jesus dives right into our problems to help us through our times of trouble

You can come back from every problem and situation that is against you……

We all need BBA – Bounce Back Ability…

The Resurrected Christ OPENS – Luke 24:31,45

*Jesus opens up opportunities, doors of blessing and our mind, heart and eyes

*Our eyes must be opened to understand that Jesus Christ is coming back soon – Acts 1:9-11

*Our eyes must be opened to understand that only through Jesus Christ can we be saved – Romans 10:9-10
