-things which are – the present – the history of the church – 7 church ages – Revelation Chapter 2
-things will take place – the future – Revelation chapters 4-22
Ezekiel 37 – speaks of the Regathering of Israel
Ezekiel 38 – Speaks of the Enemies of Israel
Ezekiel 39 – Speaks of the Invasion and Victory of Israel
Ezekiel 37:1-4, 8-11 – Israel was in captivity in Babylon for their disobedience
WHEN THERE IS A SETBACK THERE CAN ALWAYS BE A COMEBACK
HOW CAN WE MAKE A COMEBACK WHEN THERE HAS BEEN A SETBACK?
1. We need to realize the Lord is in the resurrection business – Ezekiel 37:11-14
-The Lord’s power raised Israel up
-The Lord can resurrect anything
-Jesus Can Do It
-Deuteronomy 28:13
2. To make a comeback
– SPEAK
-Speak truth and what the Lord can do
3. Remember the name Ezekiel
– Verses 1-3
– Me is Ezekiel
-The name Ezekiel means STRENGTH
-Psalm 118:14-15/Psalm 105:4-6/Psalm 28:6-8/Psalm 29:11
Ezekiel 38 – THE ENEMIES AND FRIENDS OF ISRAEL
-The Lord and Israel’s friends will fight for Israel
-all of this is going to happen – Ezekiel 39:18
Israels’ Enemies – Ezekiel 38:1-3,5-6
-Russia – Eza 38:15
-v5 – Persia (Iran), Ethiopia, Libya, Turkey, and Sudan
Israel’s Friends – Ezekiel 38:13 (the alignment of the nations)
Sheba & Dudan – Saudi Arabia and other Middle East countries
-the UAE, Bahrain, & Qatar
Merchants of Tarshish – nations out of England
-australia
-Great Britain…Canada…New Zealand
United States
Ezekiel 38-39 – THE VICTORY FOR ISRAEL AND THE DEFEAT
OF THE ENEMIES OF ISRAEL
EZ 38:19-20 – An earthquake swallows Israel’s enemies
v21 – the enemies will fight against each other
v22 – a plague, hailstones, fire & burning sulphur arrives
v23 – The world will know there is a true and living God
Ez 39:1-8 – the Lord is against the enemies of Israel and will fight them Himself
Since we know that we are in the last days & Jesus is coming soon:
1. WE CANNOT RELAX – Rev 2:1 – the name Ephesus means to relax
—Ephesus is the Apostolic Church Age – 30-100AD – the pattern for the church is set for every church age, which is the book of Acts
—Ephesus lost their fire
-How do we keep the fire of the Lord burning – Lev 6:12-13
SUSTAINED FELLOWSHIP = SUSTAINED FIRE
2. DON’T LEAVE YOUR FIRST LOVE – Revelation 2:4-5
-it says – “The First One”
left – it means to release something and not to abandon
-No amount of church or spirituality is a substitute for your time with Jesus
How do we get our first love and fire for Jesus back? – Revelation 2:5
1. REMEMBER – what you used to be like
-fallen – a hard fall or collapse
2. REPENT – means to change our mind and turn to Jesus
3. RETURN – return to your first works – Phil 2:12-13
Your lampstand will be removed – the presence of the Lord will not rest upon you
verse 6 – Don’t compromise or think you are better than the people you are leading
verse 7 – listen to everything the Holy Spirit is saying
Paradise of God – is heaven
Tree of Life – refers to eternal life
Overcomes – are those who have endured and remained faithful to Jesus
