Sermon Notes 3/26 – The Miracle of Lazarus – John 11

     The Supernatural Power of God

MIRACLES

1. Only the Lord and His power perform miracles – v4

-miracles are immediate

-healings are over time

-Jesus deserves all the praise

2. Miracles happen for the person receiving the miracle and for others affected by the miracle

                a. Lazarus was saved and healed by this miracle

                b. issues started to fall off of him

                c. others were touched by this miracle – John 11:40-45

     What can we learn from the miracle of Lazarus?

POINT #1 —  We need to always have a miracle mentality – John 11:30-32, 17-27

          a. we have a miracle mentality when we believe – John 11:17-27

 2. We need to have a miracle mentality regardless of our feelings – Hab 1:2,5

               ***this is when we do not feel anything at all

               ***this is when we feel the Lord is not doing things the way we want Him to do them – Hab 1:2

               ***this is when we feel like the Lord is not moving – Hab 1:5

POINT #2 – OUR MIRACLE AND HEALING WILL COME – IT’S JUST A MATTER OF TIME – John 11:1-7

           a. Time can be an obstacle because we want everything done quickly

           b. Sight can be an obstacle because we go by what we see and not by faith

Our YES is coming – 2 Corinthians 1:20

——-our yes is based on a promise in the Word of God – John 11:4, 11

—Get ready for your miracle and healing because your yes is on its way…….
