Sermon Notes 12/28 – Philippians 3:13-14
Philippians 3:13-14 Brethren I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it YET but ONE THING I do FORGETTING what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead I PRESS ON toward the GOAL for the PRIZE of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus
Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus
We have not arrived Spiritually yet
We need to specialize in and be single minded about running the race
Forget the past
No matter what has happened the future is your responsibility
Don’t be a victim
We need to press on like a runner leaning in toward the finish line of a race
The Goal and the Prize for the Christian the finish line is Heaven
2nd Chronicles 7:14 If my people who are called by my name will Humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their san and will heal their land
Four things that will propel you forward in 2024
Realize you are called
Humble Yourself
Seek His face and pray
Turn and repent from your sins
Four things that can keep you from moving forward in Jesus
Lack of faith
Not forgiving yourself
Not forgiving others
A lack of knowledge in God’s Word
No turning back in 2024
