-the swaddling clothes were a sign that a promised king had been born – Matthew 2:1-9 and Revelation 19:10-18
(2.) THE STAR ONLY POINTS TO JESUS – Matthew 1:21 & 2:9
a. The star or Holy Spirit points to Jesus because He is the only Savior of the world – Acts 4:12
-the star only stopped over Jesus
-God the Father makes a special announcement – Matthew 3:13-17 (v17)
-Jesus came for those who are Jewish and Gentile
-The road to heaven is narrow and only runs through Jesus – Matthew 7:13-14 – there is no coexistence with any other faith
b. The star or Holy Spirit points to Jesus because He is the only true source of peace – Isaiah 9:6/Luke 2:8-14 (v14)…John 14:27 & 16:33
-The Lord’s peace is a sustained peace & not a momentary peace
John 16:33 – the words “In Me you may have” – means to hold on to/to possess – we can possess supernatural peace at all times
The Lord’s Peace is a picture of the stoppage of conflict/distractions are removed/order replaces chaos. The Lord’s Peace produces calmness and an inner stabilty to the point where pressure does not affect or shake us…….
PEACE IS NOT DETERMINED BY WHAT WE POSSESS, BUT BY WHO WE POSSESS…..
So it is time for a divine exchange……….From chaos to calmness…panic to peace
c. The star or Holy Spirit points to Jesus to reveal to us that with God all tHings are Possible – Luke 1:37
1. All things are possible because of the supernatural power of God
2. All things are possible because of standing on the Word of God – Luke 1:26-35, 37
-Mary said, I don’t know how you are going to do it Lord, but I know you are going to do it ——- Mary stood on the Word of God…….
