Sermon Notes 12/11 – The Gift of Faith

John 13:33-38 – Some uncertainty developed in the disciples, but we must place our faith in Jesus which creates certainty

***Faith is trusting in a certain Jesus in the midst of uncertainty

               John 14:1-6

(1.) PLACE YOUR FAITH IN A PERSON –  John 14:1 & John 6:66-69

Do not let your heart be troubled – disturbed – agitated

Stay Calm in Jesus

Faith In Jesus Knows – Luke 1:28-38 (v34)

We may not know how the Lord is going to do something, but He is going to do it

Have faith in Jesus

(2.) PLACE YOUR FAITH IN A PROMISE  – John 14:3

Promise – is a declaration that someone will do a particular thing

-Jesus keeps His Word

-You can depend on what Jesus says

(3.) PLACE YOUR FAITH IN A PLACE – John 14:2

-this is heaven

-John 14:6 – Jesus is the only way to get to heaven
