     1 Samuel 17

1 Samuel 17 is about David and Goliath

1 Samuel 17 talks about the trial & hardships we will have as believers

#40 – is the number for trials in the Bible

                           MY GIANT IS COMING DOWN TODAY

(1.) FOURTY -1 Samuel 17:16

*40 is plural meaning we will experience many trials

-1 Samuel 17:40 – David had 5 stones with him – we fight many Goliaths

-the Lord is working behind the scenes – 1 Samuel 17:47

(2.) FOCUS – 1 Samuel 17:37

-the focus of David was not giant focused, but Jesus focused

-we serve a big God

-the Lord never fails us – 1 Samuel 31:32 & 1 Chronicles 28:20

-take control of the conversation in your head – put all thoughts under the control of the Lord

(3.) FIGHT – 1 Samuel 17:11

***Israel lost their fight

           1. The fight was tough – 1 Samuel 17:16

                          *Don’t lose your fight

                          *Confront your problem

            2. The fight was long
