Sermon Notes 11/16 – Living In Uncertain Times
-We are living in very uncertain times
-We have a firm foundation in Jesus Christ
1. There is only one certainty today – Jesus Christ and His Word
-Matthew 6:25-33
-The Lord never changes – Psalm 102:27
-Uncertain – means unpredictable/unsure/
-Uncertain times never change who the Lord is
God Facts
1. Pain and problems happen because of sin from Adam and Eve
2. The Incarnation
3. We must all grow and become strong disciples of Jesus Christ
a. we will declare who the Bible says the Lord is
b. We will understand that doctrine is vital – Titus 1:9
2. LIVING IN UNCERTAIN TIMES SQUEEZES OUT THE I WILLS OF OUR CHRISTIANITY – Psalm 34:1,3,6,8
-we cannot go by feelings or emotions, but only by the Word of God
-the grace of God helps us to be relentless in our Christian faith
3. LIVING IN UNCERTAIN TIMES INCREASES A SPIRIT OF APPRECIATION AND THANKFULNESS – Luke 17:11-19
a. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 – it is the will of God to be thankful
b. Eph 5:20 – be thankful for all things – for what the ALord is doing during uncertain times
c.Be thankful and say so – Psalm 100:4
-everything we have comes from the Lord
-He gives us things we never requested…
