Sermon Notes 11/13 – Zechariah 12

ZECHARIAH 12

In that day – vs4,6,8,9,11 – this refers to the return of Jesus Christ

-it’s a promise

-the Bible tells us what the last days will be like

-1 Chronicles 12:32

– Matthew 24:37-39 & Genesis 6:5, 11-14

– 2Timothy 3:1-18

2 Timothy 3:8

***Know – to recognize something that must be known

***Last days – the ultimate end of something/something final

-the rule of humans and the devil will come to an end

-the curse of sin will come to an end

perilous or difficult – refers to words spoken that are harsh and harmful

– refers to wild animals that are out of control

– refers to demonic forces – Matthew 8:28

verse 4 – this refers to placing entertainment over Jesus

-church can become an entertainment venue

-the world is looking for something different & Christianity has what the world is looking for – there is only fulfillment in Jesus

verse 4 – The Lord will fight for Israel with confusion and blindness

verses 5-6 – v5 – the leaders realize that they need the Lord

-v6 – a firepot or pan in the woodpile refers to yesterday’s fire

We cannot live on yesterday’s fire and anointing – we need fresh fire every day

a fiery torch in the sheaves – this is fresh fire – you stir the ashes and the embers and a huge fire erupts – stir yourself up…

a. Being on fire is a personal decision – Ex 3:1-6

b. We can see who is on fire – Ex 34:29-30

c. Fire is contagious – hang out with on fire believers

-Lev 9:24 – the Lord starts the fire in us at salvation

-Lev 6:12-13 – feed the fire daily

verse 7 – The Lord will save Israel

-Judah first – the poor and the outcast who live in tents

-Jerusalem – more upper-class and wealthy people

***We can never be a respecter of persons…….James 2:1-10

verse 8 – this refers to the battle of Armageddon – Rev 19:17-21

***The Lord fighting – vs8-9

***The people fighting – v8

The feeble – those who are weak will become strong

The House of David – Israel will gain supernatural strength

DON’T LOSE YOUR FIGHT…..
