Sermon Notes 11/10 – The Holy Spirit

***The Holy Spirit points to Jesus and His Second Coming – John 16:12-15

-Being pointed to Jesus results in certainty – we need divine certainty today..Ps 1:3

1.) THE HOLY SPIRIT CREATES AND INTERNAL REVOLUTION THAT RESULTS IN AN EXTERNAL REVOLUTION

-the internal revolution begins the day we are conceived – John 16:8-11 & Gen 1:1-2

     hover – means to move

     -convict – means to convince and point us to Jesus who will forgive us

     -we are saved – Acts 4:12 – only through Jesus Christ

     -we receive the Holy Spirit – 1 Cor 3:16

     -we move from darkness to light – Col 1:13-14

***Everyone was created with a free will to say yes or no to salvation and to staying close to the Lord***

***We keep the internal revolution going by having SE’s – Supernatural Encounters

Lev 6:12-13 and Daniel 6:10

***Every SE of the Holy Spirit includes 3 things:

(1.) EMPOWERMENT  – Luke 4:16-18 – power from the Lord to help us in every area of our lives

(2.) CHANGE – Acts chapter 9 – Paul was changed and transformed

(3.) IMPACT  – this is impacting others through outreach and ministry – Is 55:11

-there is such an impact that people notice the change

-there is such an impact that we become absorbed in Jesus

-this causes us to look at the harvest

                       ***THIS IS AN EXTERNAL REVOLUTION***

-WE NEED TO TELL EVERYONE ABOUT JESUS

-no one will listen – Is 55:11

-we must understand eternity – there is a heaven and a hell

-do not be involved in witnessing wars

-the Holy Spirit is all about the Great Commission
