Sermon Notes 10/29 – The Invasion of Israel

   EZEKIEL 37-39
Ezekiel 37 – Israel is away from the Lord and in captivity in Babylon.
       WHEN THERE IS A SETBACK, THERE CAN ALWAYS BE A COMEBACK
-It was time for a change
-It was a time to go from being dry to being wet
A comeback occurs when we speak life, healing and revival…
The Lord told Ezekiel to speak……prophesy….speak to Israel and faith
      ***Faith is not believing that Jesus can.  It is knowing that Jesus will because for Jesus to do nothing, that is impossible…
vs3-4 – Ezekiel said the Lord can and will…
          – Jesus is in the Resurrection business
Ezekiel 38-39 – The Invasion of Israel
-When we begin to speak faith and life enters into us, the enemy attacks
***WHEN THE CHURCH IS REVIVED…WHEN YOU ARE REVIVED…SO IS THE DEVIL…………
Verse 1 – Ezekiel means God will strengthen…the strength of God
Psalm 118:14-15…105:4…29:11…28:7-8 – we will receive last days strength
Ezekiel is seeing into the future
Verse 2 –  Gog means roof and is a word for ruler – the man on top – a dictator
             – Magog – means the land of Gog – Russia and Turkey
Verses 2-3 – The Lord is against Gog and Magog – the Lord will deal with leaders
-Daniel 4:28-37
-Ezekiel 39:1-2
verse 4 – The Lord is in Charge
-the Lord brings Israels’ enemies against Israel to save Israel
-only a crisis, high pressure and hard times will bring a nation to its knees
          Zechariah 12:1-10 and 13:1
vs1-2 – burden – means a crushing weight of judgment
-this is the judgment of the nations that have come against Israel
v3 – a rock or stone falls on the enemies of Israel
v4 – the Lord is going to fight for Israel – a supernatural intervention of God
v5 – Israel finally realizes that they need the Lord
vs6-7 – Israel will be like fire against their enemies
vs8-9 – Israel will also fight and receive supernatural wisdom and power
v10 – pour on – means an abundance/plentiful/in large amounts/a big #
