NEVER FORGET
1 & 2 Peter – Never Forget that Jesus is coming back
Psalm 103 – Never Forget the Benefits of the Lord
PSALM 103:1-5
Benefits – means rewards, acts and treatment
***They are the Lords’ benefits – they all come from Him – James 1:17
Who gives us the benefits? The Lord – Jehovah
—–there are 2 main meanings for the name Jehovah
1. It means the God who has always been
2. It means He is the covenant keeping God
-2 Cor 1:20 – the Lord always keeps His Word
Bless His Holy Name – holy means to be set apart
-the Lord is set apart from any other faith, god or religion
THE LORD FORGIVES ALL OUR INIQUITIES – verse 3
-Our God is a forgiving God. He is overflowing with Forgiveness
Jesus is the only One who can forgive us of our sins
Matt 9:2-7/Mark 2:5-12/Luke 5:20-24
Jesus forgives all of our sins
-this includes our iniquities which are sins we commit that we know are sins and we commit them many times
Jesus forgives sins quickly & immediately – Is 1:18 & 43:25
-Two Points in Psalm 86:5:
1. Know the Lord is ready to forgive
2. Ask the Lord to forgive you – Prov 28:13 & 1 John 1:9
When it comes to forgiveness, stand on the Word of God
-The Lord does forgive all of our sins because the Bible says so
-The Lord is a forgiving God because the Bible says so
