TWO MIRACLES

1. DELIVERANCE FROM A DEMON – Mark 7:24-30

2. HEALING OF THE DEAF MAN – Mark 7:31-36

                Healing Of The Deaf Man

v31 – Jesu sleeves Lebanon

Decapolis – is an area of ten cities – gentile territory – includes the Gadarenes

v32 – people brought people to Jesus

-the man had a double ailment and the Lord has a double portion

-the people of the Gadarenes who rejected Jesus now receive Him – Mk 5:1-21 (v17)

vs33-34 – this is a sigh of compassion and prayer

v35 – this man is healed and saved

vs36-37 – people were amazed and could not believe it

             A COUPLE POINTS ABOUT HEALING

1. THE LORD CAN HEAL ANY WAY HE WANTS TO HEAL – Mark 7:33-35

     a. only God heals – v34

     b. Healing is a promise – Psalm 89:34 & Numbers 13:19-20

promise – means a pledge and commitment

-Jesus Christ is God and can heal any disease or illness – Numbers 23:19

     c. the Lord can heal any way He wants to heal –

Matt 8:5-13 – Jesus healed at a distance

John 9:6-12 – Jesus healed by spitting in the dirt

Mark 1:29-31 – Jesus healed by touching people

***Healing is always connected to salvation & a spiritual change

Luke 7:11-17 – Nain – means pleasant or beautiful

2. HEALING IS A FIGHT  –

a. Because we like immediate gratification – James 5:13-15

-the culture wants everything done fast, quick and quicker

-Christianity is a process faith – most healings and things take time to receive

-We have a promise – Galatians 6:9

-God’s delay is not His denial

b. Because it’s a constant mental, physical, emotional and spiritual battle – 2 Corinthians 10:4-5

Removing wrong thoughts the enemy and flesh throws at us

Dealing with the truth of our condition

***Stand on the Word of God

***Be determined

***Be verbal

-it’s a spiritual battle – prayer, read the Bible and use our authority over the enemy.  Spend time with Jesus every day
