(2) EVERYTHING WE HAVE IS THE LORD’S

How do we honor the Lord?

2. We give the Lord the first fruits of our increase
– Our increase is a job or a raise

Do not despise – means to disappear

– We are to welcome it and receive it
How does the Lord correct believers?

1. Through the Word of God – Eph 4:25-32

2. Through the inner conviction of the Holy Spirit

3. Through people – parents, coworkers, friends

4. Through trials – Deut 8
– To bring us humility and get rid of wrong motives
***Correction is not judgment***
– The judgment of God is only of those who reject Jesus Christ – 1 Thess 5:9 & 1:9-10
