Palm Sunday

                                 AND PALM SUNDAY

LUKE 19:28-44

-the power of God on Palm Sunday is praise and worship.  As we praise the power of God comes down

(1.) PRAISE IS A POSITION – Revelation 5:11-12

-we praise the Lord because He is worthy

-worthy – means to deserve praise

-we worship the Lord because He is worthy – Declare it…

-Jesus being worthy has to do with the principle of importance – Phil 3:7-8

***Jesus is everything and so we are going to praise Him

***we are to glorify the Lord – highly value…to reverence and respect

-Take the position of praise – 2 Chronicles 20:1-21

           Israel was surrounded, but take the position of praise – vs3, 17

There are many positions the believer can take:

                 ***The position of complaining – Phil 2:14

          -You can complain & remain or praise & be raised

                 ***The position of doubt & unbelief – James 1:6-8

                 ***You can take the position of fear, anxiety & worry – v3

(2.) Believers are to take the position of praise because:

                PRAISE IS NOT LETTING WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU KEEP YOU

FROM WORSHIPPING WHAT IS RIGHT WITH GOD

-the Lord never changes

-no matter what is happening and going on – we will praise the Lord

***Every place the enemy has taken up residence in your life must be vacated when the Lord enters that place

(3.) PRAISE BASED ON FAITH THANKS THE LORD FOR WHAT HE WILL DO BEFORE HE DOES IT – vs20-22

-this is praising the Lord before we see anything at all happening

-we do not have to see anything to be able to praise the Lord

(4.) PRAISE AND WORSHIP DOES NOT CHANGE THE LORD.  IT CHANGES AND AFFECTS US – vs27-30

-we need something that will help us through these last days

-praise and worship changed lives and Israel
