* This will happen through prayer – prayer that hits the bullseye
a. Praying in tongues hits the bullseye every time

b. Praying the Word of God hits the bullseye every time
Ephesians 1:15-23

PAUL PRAYS THAT THE BELIEVERS MAY KNOW THE SURPASSING GREATNESS OF THE LORD’S POWER – V19

* This is speaking about EXOUSIA power

* Exousia is used around 103 times in the NT
(1) THE DEFINITION OF EXOUSIA –

a. It means superhuman power
– This is Jesus Christ in us doing the work and it is His authority

b. It means the right to act – John 1:12
– we have the right through Jesus to act in His authority – because we are in Him
c. It means to have control over
– We have control over and the upper hand over the enemy and all demon forces
(2) THE AUTHORITY OF THE LORD TO THE BELIEVER IS DELEGATED AUTHORITY – Eph 1:3

a. This authority is in the Father, who gives it to the Son who gives it to the believer

b. This happens because Jesus is the supreme authority in the universe – Phil 2:5-11

***examples of the authority of Jesus
Matthew 9:1-8 – authority to forgive sins

Matthew 7:28-29 – authority in the teaching of Jesus

Matthew 28:18-20 – authority to give commands to His disciples

c. People receive this authority immediately art salvation –
d. This delegated authority allows us to be used in the supernatural – Matthew 10:1,5
– The Lord wants to use us

(3) THE AUTHORITY OF THE BELIEVER INCLUDES USING THE NAME OF JESUS –

Acts 4:12…………..Acts 3:1-6…………..Acts 16:16-18

– Use the name of Jesus but it is not a religious formula

– Do not replace the name of Jesu s with the word God
(4) We can see authority in action – Acts 8:14-19

– The authority to preach and see lives changed – Acts 26:12-18

– The authority to pray for people to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit – Acts 19:1-7

– The authority to cut out demons and come against all demonic oppression – Mark 1:21-28
(5) USE YOUR AUTHORITY – 1 Peter 5:8-9

– Every believer possesses authority through Jesus

– Use your authority

– Use your authority constantly

How To Increase Exousia Power In Your Life

(1) Be Saved

(2) Receive exousia power by faith

(3) Increased times of prayer, fasting and study

(4) Sin less and less and less
– Get rid of respectable sins

-Go and sin no more
(5) Stop out and begin to use your authority
