v12 – Turn To Me – this is repentance

-it is turning away from sins and to Jesus

v14 – Turn to the Lord and receive blessings… – Joel 2:28-32

            THE OUTPOURING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

1. The Outpouring of the Holy Spirit is Many Outpourings…

-The outpouring is not a one time event

-Acts 2:1-21 – Jerusalem

-Acts 10:44-48 – the gentiles

Acts 19:1-6 – Ephesus

-God’s timing is perfect when people receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit

-It is the Lord’s will for every believer to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit

-John 1:25-34 – Jesus is the One who baptizes people in the Holy Spirit

2. The Outpouring of the Holy Spirit is a full blast for the last days

-the outpouring of the Holy Spirit is not a drip

v29 – in those days – this is the last days when Jesus is going to return

-we need a full blast and because stress and anxiety is high

3. The Outpouring of the Holy Spirit is for Everyone and Biblical

-The wants everyone to be saved and receive the baptism of the Holy spirit

-it is for everyone – children, youth and adults

-e only believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit because it is Biblical and for today

4. The Outpouring of the Holy Spirit Will Happen – v28

-nothing can stop it – Matthew 16:18

-you have to want it

-accept everything that comes with the Outpouring

Acts 1:8

***Super dedication – witnesses – we get the word martyr from this word which are people who are willing to give up everything and their lives for Jesus

***Power – this is dunamis and miraculous power (dynamite)

-we must tap into the supernatural

-the supernatural is throughout the BIble

***Speaking in tongues – Acts 2:1-7

-tongues is a supernatural language from Jesus

a. you receive tongues after you are saved…Speaking in tongues does not save you

Eph 2:8-9/Romans 10:9-10/Acts 2:21

b. desire everything the lord has for you – 1 Corinthians 14:1-3

c. Some people do not want to receive speaking in tongues

     1. Obey the Word of God – 1 Corinthians 14:39

     2. It is listed last – 1 Corinthians 12:7-10

-something that is listed last on the list does not devalue its importance

-Ex: Galatians 5:25

d.  The words I BELIEVE – this is an intellectual stance – James 2:19

-we need a supernatural, Biblical experience with Jesus
