I Saw The Lord

Isaiah 6:1-7,8,9,11

                                   The Voice of the Lord
-Isaiah saw the Lord and heard His voice…….He received a Word from the Lord
-The Lord has time for each of us.  He wants to be with us.  He talks
-He speaks to us through the Word of God, visions, gifts of the Holy Spirit & people
-The Lord doesn’t always say alot of words – He doesn’t have to – 1 word will do
The Lord is more interested in our full obedience than our full understanding……
***TO HEAR THE LORD WE MUST BE STILL – Psalm 46:10
-listen…be quiet…do not talk
***How do we know it is the voice of the Lord – Revelation 1:15
-His voice is like the sound of many waters
-the voice of the flesh & enemy will vanish
(1.) THE VOICE OF THE LORD IS FIRST HAND REVELATION – v8
-the Lord speaks directly to every believer
-never allow people to direct you.  They only confirm what the Lord has told you
         2 THINGS TO NOTE:
     1. FIRST HAND REVELATION HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE OCCULT – Dt 18:9-14 & Eph 4:27
     2. FIRST HAND REVELATION CAN COME AT CHURCH – Rev 1:10-11
-Revelation 1:12-17 – John saw the Lord
-Revelation 1:10-11 – the Lord’s Day is Sunday and some things only happen at church
(2.) YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT THE LORD IS GOING TO SAY – vs9-13
-the Lord told Isaiah to go to  a people who would never listen
(3.) THE VOICE OF THE LORD IS A VOICE OF TENACITY – vs9-13
tenacity – means to stick with someone or something/stay with it
-the scriptures mention names of people over & over again such as Acts 9:4 and 1 Samuel 3:1-20
-The Lord has things for you to know, hear and walk in……….
