How can we please the Lord?
1. WE CAN PLEASE THE LORD THROUGH FAITH – Hebrews 11:6
a. Every believer has faith – Romans 12:3
-received immediately at salvation
-not by feelings

-faith is based on the Bible – John 14:12
***Imitate those who live and walk by faith – Hebrews 6:12
FAITH IS BASED ON 4 THINGS:
1. Faith is based on Jesus Christ
-it is trusting Jesus – Mark 11:22
-Jesus can do anything
2 Things That Are Not Eliminated When You Have Faith
        —questions
        —problems – Hebrews 11:36-40 & Acts 14:22
2. Faith is based on the revelation of the character of God
-the character of God never changes
-what has happened in the moment (in the present) will not overflow in the future
REMEMBER: Faith never denies reality but leaves room for God to grant a new reality…..
3. Faith is based on the Lord’s track record
-the track record of the Lord speaks for itself
4. Faith is based on the Word of God – 2 Corinthians 1:20
-we can believe every promise in the Word of God
-the answer to every promise is YES…
               THE DEFINITION OF FAITH
                            Hebrews 11:1
         TWO THINGS
1. Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will eventually happen
***This is faith that knows
a. Declare your faith
b. Faith is knowing He will
-the words “I WILL” occur around 4,000 times in the Bible
c. this is faith for things that have not happened yet
2. Faith gives us assurance about things we cannot see
-faith and sight go together
-the Bible says to believe regardless of what we see or do not see….2 Cor 5:7
Example #1 – I do not see anything happening
Example #2 – What I do see is getting worse
