The Riches of His Grace

2 Timothy 2:1

-grace – means something beautiful…an undeserved gift…to extend kindness to those who do not deserve it.  It also speaks of stooping or bending over

The riches of His grace are the spiritual blessings the believer receives from the Lord at salvation – Eph 1:3

2 things the Father made happen:

1. the Father made Jesus sit so redemption could be finalized – Eph 1:17-21

2. the Father made the believer sit to receive the riches of His grace – Eph 2:5-9

-you get blessed when you sit

(1) THE RICHES OF HIS GRACE ARE RECEIVED IMMEDIATELY AT SALVATION – Eph 1:6-8

-salvation comes by surrendering to the call of the Lord…

-Christianity begins by sitting

-Ex:  Adam and Eve

-we receive the Holy Spirit, forgiveness and the riches of His grace by sitting

(2) THE RICHES OF HIS GRACE ARE ALL IN CHRIST – Eph 1:1,3,4,7,11,13

***Our identity is in Christ and nothing else

-We are who God says that we are…..

-Declare it…

*When we declare who we are in Christ, WE BECOME CONFIDENT…..

(3) THE RICHES OF HIS GRACE ARE TOTALLY BASED ON THE WORD OF GOD – 1 Peter 1:23-25

-we do not receive the riches of His grace by feelings, emotions or by what we see or hear…

-We are more than conquerors in Christ – Romans 8:37

-we possess the riches of His grace at salvation and as we walk in the Lord…

           ***Be on the alert for the accuser of the believer — Rev 12:7-12 & Zech 3:1-5

-but in Christ we have all authority over the enemy – 1 Peter 5:8-9 & James 4:7
