Ephesians 2:1-10 May 7th 2023

vs1-3 – What our condition was before we were saved
vs4-9 – The Intervention of God – But God
v10 – Our position in Jesus Christ
(1.)  THE ENEMY HAS A KINGDOM
v2 – disobedient – before salvation, everyone belongs to the kingdom of darkness
-There are two kingdoms – Colossians 1:13-14
-the kingdom of God (Light)  and the kingdom of the devil (darkness)
-the kingdom of darkness includes all unbelievers
-the kingdom of God includes all believers
(2.) THE BIG TRANSFER – Colossians 1:13-14
delivered – means rto rescue
power – means domination/tyranny/lawlessness
Translated or transferred – means to move from one place to another/change places
Into the kingdom of His dear Son – the kingdom of God is a Kingdom of love
@ Salvation we are transferred into the kingdom of God from the kingdom of darkness
(3.) 2 TOOLS OF THE ENEMY
                1. BLINDNESS
                2. BUSYNESS
BLINDNESS – 2 Corinthians 4:4
-blind to the point where we come up with our own ways to go to heaven
-works vs the blood of Jesus – Genesis 4:1-7
BUSYNESS – Mark 4:13-20 & Matthew 24:37-39
-their busyness kept them from seeing what was going on around them
WHY DOES THE ENEMY WANT US BUSY?
-so we cannot hear the whisper of God – that is how the Lord talks to us.
-Whispering makes people get close – the Lord wants us to stay close to Him
-1 Kings 19:11-15 (v12)
-Mary & Martha – Luke 10:38-42
-As we get close to Jesus the enemy roars in.  Remember two points:
POINT # 1 – when the church is revived the enemy is revived
POINT # 2 – it is a good thing to be bothered by the enemy  because the kingdom of darkness doesn’t waste its time on people who are not a threat to them
