Elijah

(1.) IT IS TIME TO CAUSE SOME TROUBLE – 1 Kings 18:17

-we need to upgrade from Christians to Troublemakers……spiritual troublemakers

          A. A spiritual troublemaker wants to get rid of all evil

                  1. To get rid of all evil, we must first work on ourselves – 1 Tim 4:16

-Available to serve the Lord, to serve people and to check in with ourselves

-pray a dangerous prayer – search me o Lord

REMEMBER:

-Being available for yourself is not selfish, it is wise

-You cannot help others until you help yourself

                   2. To get rid of all evil and sin, we must define evil and then tell the truth ——– 1 Kings 22

—define evil and it is defined in the Bible

—then tell and speak the truth

***the Bible is not negative or positive – it is truth

                   3. To get rid of evil, you bring people to Jesus – 1 Kings 17:17-24

-the widows son was healed and saved

-get excited about the church on Monday………

(2.) THINGS WE CAN LEARN FROM ELIJAH – ANY PERSON WITH A WORD FROM THE LORD IS BIGGER THAN ALL OF THEIR SITUATIONS – 1 Kings 17:2-5, 8, 18:1

-the term Word from the lord was used alot concerning Elijah

-a Word from the lord seals the deal — from the Word or The voice of God

***A Word from the Lord will keep burning in your heart – 1 Samuel 3:1-10

***A Word from the Lord isn’t always pleasant to hear – – – – – – –

(3.) THE LORD IS ALWAYS AT WORK – 1 Kings 17:2-4. 8-9

-the Lord was always at work concerning Elijah to provide and protect

-do not join the Thomas team – John 20:24-29  – that you have to see to believe

-Elijah never saw anything – He just obeyed the Word of the Lord
