 Chapter 9

verse 10 – a certain disciple

-disciple means disciplined one – 2 Tim 1:7

-Ananias was an ordinary available believer

***Ananaias was a servant – he would do anything for the Lord

-his name means “God has given”

-he laid down his gifts to do anything

-he did not have to pray about everything

-he understood he was a minister

***Ananias was available – a yes man

vs 15-16 – Paul’s purpose was to go to the gentiles to preach the Word of God

-we are to “GO” – Matthew 28:18-20

v17 – Paul was filled and baptized in the Holy Spirit

***Paul spoke in tongues alot – 1 Corinthians 14:18

vs18-19 – Paul was water baptized and was in the desert for 3 years with Jesus

Galatians 1:15-24

vs20-22 – Paul preached “The Christ”

-there is only one Christ

-1 John 2:22-23 – you must believe in Jesus being God and in God the Father

vs 21-22 – Paul’s life was turned upside down and he was radically saved

-Paul became a no more Christian

vs23-31 – RADICAL CHANGE PRODUCES RADICAL OPPOSITION

-v31 – opposition produces great spiritual growth personally and for the church

vs32-35 – Peter goes on an Evangelistic Tour

Aeneas is healed

1. We can learn hat no matter how bad the situation is, it is nothing for Jesus to turn it around

2. We can learn that we need to praise the Lord for what he will do before He does it

vs36-43 – Dorcas

-this is power evangelism

-speak to the disease, demonic oppression and your situation for it to be removed….
