vs23-31 – RADICAL CHANGE BRINGS RADICAL OPPOSITION

-opposition makes the church stronger because it separates the nominal from the strong believers

vs32-35 – AENEAS

v32 – Peter went on a preaching tour

We can learn some points from the scriptures on AENEAS…….

1. THE REASON FOR MIRACLES & SIGNS AND WONDERS IS TO GET PEOPLE SAVED – V35

-Christianity is all about the great commission – Matthew 28:18-20

2. WE ARE TO GIVE EVIDENCE OF OUR HEALING – v35

“They saw him” – this is referring to the man sharing his miracle

-1 Peter 2:9

3. DESIRE THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT – the 9 spirituals

-1 Cor 12:8-11 & 1 Cor 14:1

-many spirituals can operate at one time

4. DO NOT DWELL ON THE SEVERITY OF A SITUATION OR SICKNESS – v33

Jesus can heal anything

vs36-43 – Tabith or Dorcas

-this is another example of power evangelism

-many people were saved

***For the Lord to move, 2 things must happen:

1. v40 – put out all unbelief and doubt – James 1:5-8

2. Speak to the situation

                                          Acts 10-11

                            Cornelius, Peter & The Gentiles

verse 1 – Cornelius was a soldier and commander of 100 soldiers/a gentile

verse 2 – Cornelius was saved but would not become Jewish

-@ this time, no one though gentiles could be saved

vs3-8 – Cornelius sent men to get Peter and bring him back to him

vs9-16 – Peter has a vision about accepting the gentile believers

***common – means lower class…being beneath…vulgar…unclean

vs22-23 – Peter comes to Cornelius

vs24-26 – only worship Jesus Christ – Revelation 22:6-9

vs27-28 – the vision revealed that gentiles can be saved

vs34-36 – the Lord is not a respecter of persons – does not receive face

-He is for everyone and proves this by pouring out His Spirit on the gentiles also

reconcile – means to change thoroughly from one condition to another
