Paul Declares A Declaration of War
PAUL DECLARED A WAR ON WALLS – Acts 15:1-6, 13, 19
verse 1 – Some men – Jewish Christians (Judaizers) did not think gentiles could be saved. If they could be saved, they would have to follow the law of Moses & be circumcised
Some Things To Learn:
1. Not every believer believes the same things
2. Walls were being built & Paul declared war against them
WALL#1 – ETHNIC AND RACIAL WALLS
*Acts 15:2-13, 19 – The Jerusalem Council meets
*Ephesians 2:11-22 reconciliation – to change thoroughly from one condition to another
a. Division is not from the Lord
b. You cannot be saved and hate
c. Salvation sets people free
WALL #2 – YOUNG vs OLD WALLS
*Titus 2:1-5
-we need older and younger believers in the church
WALL#3 – MALE vs FEMALE WALLS
***Galatians 3:26-29 and Acts 2:17-21
***1 Timothy 2:11-14
silence – this word does not mean never to talk. It means not to be contentious or to be out of order in any way. Keep the Bible in context.
WALL#4 – RICH AND POOR
***James 2:1-9
***No favoritism when it comes to wealth – use anyone
***There is no reputation in the church – Phil 2:5-11
PAUL DECLARED A WAR ON DOCTRINE – Acts 15:1-12, 35
*Paul was a defender of the gospel – Phil 1:7
*He learned the gospel from the author of the gospel – Gal 1:6-9, 11-24
*Acts 15 – the Judaizers were brining wrong doctrine into the church
-salvation comes from works was false doctrine
-Ephesians 2:8-9
