(1.) EVERYONE MUST BE ON THE SAME PAGE WHEN IT COMES TO PRAYER – v24

one accord – means to be together; have one mind and heart;  to be on the same page; have one vision

-this speaks of unity and receiving a full reward – 2 John 8

-Acts 2:1 – fully come

-the power of agreement is powerful – Matthew 18:19

(2.) PRAYER IS WHEN AND NOT IF – V31

-“WHEN” speaks of people praying

-“IF” speaks of people usually not praying

“When” we pray things happen and so be careful what you pray…….

“When” prayer includes personal and corporate prayer – v24

-There is power in numbers – Leviticus 26:7-8…….

(3.) THEY CRIED OUT TO THE LORD IN PRAYER – v24

v24 – raised their voices – means to raise higher

-there are different ways to pray, but we cry out to the Lord…

(4.) PRAYER IS WORK – Acts 2:41 & 4:4

-not all of the thousands of people who were saved prayed

-Prayer is work – Sweat Theology

-a few do the work that the many can enjoy……..

(5.) THEY PRAYED THE WORD OF GOD – vs24-30

-these verses are from Psalm 2:1-2

-praying the Word of God is praying the will of God

-Colossians 1:9-14 is an example
